Open Question: What's a good hairstyle fr me? I'm mixed with golden skin color that changes with weather.?

My hair is very curly (hardly kinky) and naturally black, I'm mixed with a quarter black, half white, quarter native american and a tiny bit of latino. My hair is just past my shoulders. I straighten it most of the time, because I'm sleepy of the curls, but I'm just not sure what would look good on me. My skin is very light golden olive colored in the icy seasons, but gets darker gold when it's warmer, I'm just sleepy of the same old hairstyles! it's either down and straight, wavy (because I'll never wear it down fully curly, it looks shorter that way), or up in a ponytail. Any ideas for something that might look cute on me? by the way, I could post some pictures of me on here, but I'm not sure how to do it!

Open Question: If all humanity today descended from Adam and Eve, what race does Adam and Eve belong to?

Humanity is made up of many races. White/Caucasian, Black/African, Yellow/Asian, American Indians/Native Aborigines, etc. If every races actually descended from Adam and Eve, what race would they be, hypothetically speaking? Do you think they are of a universal race? Or multiracial? PS: I heard somewhere that multiracial/bi-racial/mixed-race people have looks that sometimes confuse people into thinking they are from many different countries. For example, Keanu Reeves looks Asian and White and he may be assumed to be from China, America, Hawaii, Pacific Islands, etc. Or someone like Chanel Iman, who is half-Asian, half-Black, may be thought to be African, Chinese, Indian or somewhere else.

Open Question: I don't know if I should keep helping my mom?

Okay, once upon a time my mom was a good mom to me. Here's a little info on her background history growing up: her mom wasn't there for her so she was a wild teen and had me when she was 14! Yes, crazy I know, but later in life she found Jesus and raised me in the church. But she didn't complete receive it right then either. I'm the oldest and I have 3 younger siblings and we every have different dads. She did a good job at being there for me and my the sibling directly below me, but when the last two siblings were tiny kids, she shipped us every off to Native American boarding school. It was suppose to be a temporary thing while she moved to California and tried to receive settled there so she could arrive receive us out of boarding school. Well...she failed miserably and came back with a crack addiction. She came back my senior year of high school (I am now 24 years old). I didn't know immediately about her addiction because she tried to hide it. When she came back, we were every living with my grandma. She got an apartment and just supported herself. Her addiction got to the point to where we noticed it (well me and the sibling directly below me who is 2 years younger than me). We didn't know what to think. It got worse, we found out that she started prostituting herself to support her habit. I totally lost respect for her then. She was now a horrible mom. I felt sorry for my youngest two siblings at the time who were around the ages of 6 and 8. They don't know what a wonderful mom she was to me and the sibling below me. She was/is a totally different person, to the point where I had a V.P.O against her. Ok, quick forward to gift. Her addicition got so bad that she now has AIDS. She found out last year. So, me, still loving my mom very much but not wanting to support her habits have been helping her receive treatment to manage her HIV. She has gotten alot better, but I still don't let her receive too close because she will use me in a second if she is on a crack binge. She has tried treatment once, and has talked about going back, but is still living the life style of a crack-addict. Sorry for the long story, but I'm getting to the point. Okay tonight she asked me if I would put minutes on her pre-paid cell phone, and I told her I would do it in the morning (I work nights). While taking a tardy nap before work she bangs on my apartment door. She had gotten a ride to me and demanded that I help her. Reluctantly I tell her that I will try to buy i

Open Question: What's a good sad song I can play during a "Trail of Tears" presentation?

I'm making a power point and want a little entertainment (unhappy tune) in the background. Know any good ones? It would be great if the tune mentions something about the Trail of Tears, but instrumental is okay as well. Sorrowful "themed" music - that sounds like Native Americans might be playing it - would also be great. I know that Billy Ray Cyrus has a tune called, "Trail of Tears," but it's a more upbeat tune, and sort of ruins the feel of being 'unhappy.'

Open Question: Do U think illegals should get in-state tuition but citizens of American cannot get it, is this right ?

California's highest court is poised to be the next battleground in the debate over benefits for illegal immigrants as the justices have agreed to hear arguments on the constitutionality of a state law allowing undocumented students to pay in-state tuition at public colleges and universities. The decision could affect hundreds of illegal immigrant students who attend community colleges, Cal State and UC campuses and who say they would not be able to afford a higher education if required to pay out-of-state tuition, which can cost more than triple the amount that residents pay.But the outcome could have a broader effect -- at least nine other states, including Oklahoma, New York and Texas, have similar laws providing the reduced fees to illegal immigrants. Although a court decision would not be legally binding in other states, politicians around the country are looking at California as a litmus test for future legal challenges. The state Supreme Court accepted the case tardy last month and will probably hear arguments later this year. In a letter urging the high court to take up the case, Utah's Atty. Gen. Mark Shurtleff wrote, "The implications of this decision extend far beyond California, and far beyond a state's ability to set educational policy, into the heart of the national debate about illegal immigration." Martinez vs. Regents of the University of California began with a lawsuit filed in Yolo County in 2005 by out-of-state students and their parents. The lawsuit alleges that education officials are violating federal law by granting in-state tuition to illegal immigrants while not offering the same lower fees to students from outside California. "U.S. citizens should have at least the same rights as undocumented immigrants," said one of the plaintiffs, Aaron Dallek, an Illinois native who graduated from UC Berkeley in 2006. Another plaintiff, 2006 UC Davis graduate Onson Luong, said he didn't think it was fair that he, as a native of Nevada, had to pay higher tuition than illegal immigrants. Luong, who majored in biotechnology, worked two jobs during college and owes $15,000 in student loans. "If they are allowing illegals to pay in-state tuition when they aren't even citizens, what nice of message is that sending?" Luong asked. Open Question: Do you have any lesson plans or ideas for teaching about Native Americans?

I tutor a second grade special ed class (mild learning disabilities). I want to tutor them about Native Americans. I want them to arrive away with a broad understanding as they don't really have too much social studies content knowledge. Do you have any good ideas or know of any good resources? More specifically, we are in New York and I wouldn't mind teaching them about the Iroquois and Algonquians but I don't want to be limited to these Native American groups. Anyway, what's the best way to tutor this to young students (ages 7-8)? Thanks.

For the nation you were born in or hold citizenship in? For example during World War 2, German Americans fighting the German Nazis. Do you think that is wrong? Open Question: With CNN finally telling the truth about the slaughter in Gaza?

Do you think 1/1000th of the Americans might realize what is really going on there? You know, drop the FoxNews talking points and realize that we are witnessing an ethnic cleansing not unlike the genocide of the Native Americans? Or am I being foolish to wish so? Nice recycled answer, Kismet. And of course you're American, right? Nice fantasy world, Thorae. You've really dug deep to understand this conflict, huh? Even CNN is saying there are now over 500 Palestinians dead, 100 of them women and kids, every Hamas no doubt. Most of the dead are civilians because Israel is willing to kill a dozen or more innocents to receive one suspected Hamas guy. It's like the abortion argument - argue your case in the marketplace of ideas but don't try to start with some bogus fantasy. First Dragon - no actually they're doing quite a good job of it: http://ok7paa.blu.livefilestore.com/y1pZZPjUUQM4CZfl0II2JgVo2l8joOSgcHJsDUYfC4dBHDpkjhkNqK8M7DFdjLTUXoEyyBtGMQY9AA You've no doubt not heard of the almost 2-years siege of Gaza where no food, fuel, medicine etc has been allowed in by the Israelis. Resolved Question: Why do people argue that Israel has a right to the Occupied Territories because "they were there first"?

Surely by that logic the USA should now hand over every control to the native Americans, England should be ruled by the Welsh, and pretty much every of Latin America should be handed back to the native Indians (what's left of them). Or maybe it's a stupid argument that has no merit. malcolm equis; the Welsh are the original inhabitants of England, they were driven into what is now Wales by Roman invaders & also Vikings & Saxons a few centuries later wider scope; you need to study history instead of Fox news or wherever it is you receive your info. Palestine was a country prior to Turkish invasion in the 1500s, when they simply redrew the map to erase Palestine, similar to Russia erasing Chechnya below Stalin. It became a territory ruled by Britain after the Ottoman empire disintegrated, and you can forget the bit about Arabs only wanting Palestine after a western based government moved in. The Arabs were there every along, whereas during the Crusades there were less than a thousand Jewish families there. Also, don't forget the Balfour Declaration, where we basically promised every of Palestine to the Zionists if they gave us financial backing in WW1.The reason the deal fell through was that Britain insisted that the existing Arabs and non Jews living there had to be given equal and fair treatment, and the Zionists insisted that the WHOLE of Palestine be given to them and nobody else.

Open Question: So all you people that are so critical of Israel..how you answer this.?

All I keep hearing is how Israel shouldn't protect themselves because they are on Palestineian land. So answer me this.. what makes you any different from them? Where do you live? West coast? New Mexico? Arizona? Utah? Texas? If you don't call yourself a hypocrite.. then when do you plan on giving this land back to Mexico? What about you in the Plains, northeast, and most of the south? We need to give that land back to the Native Americans don't we? Umm didn't we take that land from them? How are we every going to fit in the Louisana purchase land? So if Mexico attacked the US.. wanting some of that land back.. we should just sit down and redraw the US maps?? Now how is this any different that what Israel has done? You still think they have no right to defend themselves? i'm not swapping Israel from Palestine. Don't try to twist words. what I'm saying is would you be opposed to the US defending the southwest from Mexican attack? what about Native American's wanting their land back? You don't think we should defend? just give the land back? if you think we should.. that is hypocrisy.

Resolved Question: Since the negative press of Proposition 8, have mormons relished the persecution, or felt bad?

It seems to me religion thrives on persecution complexes. "us" vs "them" and "they persecute us because we are RIGHT" ideas. Now, since the donations and campaign against gays made the mormon church a visible symbol of this prejudice, and focus of scorn of fair minded people, have they reveled in it, or seen that they are wrong, just as they were about the native americans and black people? Did the passing of Prop 8 confirm that they were in the 'right' to them?

Open Question: On average, at what age does facial hair start growing in for boys of Persian, Arab, and/or Indian ancestry?

Before anyone asks why I'd want to know such an oddball thing, it's for the sake of a story. I like being accurate and not overlooking details which would be personally important to my characters, and it's usually a big deal for guys when they can start shaving (as opposed to just dragging a razor over their face for no good reason except to feel a bit more grown up). I know these things differ a bit from race to race. For instance, I'm Native American, and I didn't have to bother with it until my mid twenties. That's much later than everyone else I've known (with the exception of other Native Americans... we're not exactly known for our profusion of body and facial hair). So, I'm trying to figure out if the shaving bit is one of those "boy to man" moments that would fit in the story.

Open Question: Who is the genuine American, an immigrant of 200 years standing, or a Native Indian?

Whichever historical record that one cares to look at, be it Christopher Columbus landing, the Vikings before them and possibly the Celts even earlier; nobody can dispute that what is now known as the USA was already populated by "native American Indians". Allowing a little time to pass, the US won the war of independence, kicking out the British. The founding Fathers then drew up a constitution suiting wealthy caucasians. Then went on a genocidal stampede against your true indigenous people. The Australians and New Zealanders have apologised for the persecuction and wrong-doing against their indigenous populations. When will the USA follow suit? Podge, if you are going to receive every patriotic receive your facts right....The Romans were well out of the scene 2 centuries ago, 2000 years ago, maybe!!
